Emir Rashid, a Chechen military commander in charge of Shali province, voiced his absolute objection against the announcement of Caucasian Emirate, Chechen News reported.
"The decision to announce the Caucasian Emirate came from a small group of people closely tied across Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Ingushetia to Umarov," Rashid was quoted as saying. "No Chechen military commander was ever asked to evaluate and comment on rumors that the Chechen people and government would be provoked soon."
Chechen News previously reported views from such Chechen commanders as Sheikh Mansour, Zaurbek Abdorhanov, Abubakar Elmuradov and Emir Surho against the announcement of the Caucasian Emirate as well. ÖZ/FT
